I’ll definitely be donating in order to grab this release.
I understand that there are plenty of industry professionals out there who aren’t going to risk anything by installing Magic Lantern, but at this point the firmware is so stable for cameras like the t2i and 5D, it really begs the question, why not?
Pair this with cinestyle or the FLAAT styles and you’ve turned your t2i in something above and beyond what it was released as.
The built in timelapse feature is absolutely great, and I’d love to mess around with the HDR video, although I see mixed examples of good and bad material in that area. Most importantly, the improved ISO functions are awesome for someone like me, who’s constantly shooting at low-light venues and shows.
I’ve got my second and last United Way shoot tomorrow, so for now I’ll be sticking to the same version of ML that I’ve had in order to keep things looking similarly in the editing process, but once I’m done shooting that, I’ll let you know how the new ML feels.
